It’s Official, Sedai Is a 2022 Gartner Cool Vendor in Observability and Monitoring

Today we’re incredibly excited to announce that Sedai has been included as one of Gartner®’s Cool Vendors™ for 2022 in Observability and Monitoring. This milestone came just 43 days after Sedai exited stealth mode at SREcon. If you are a Gartner subscriber you can access the full report here.

We believe that inclusion in this Cool Vendor report is a powerful milestone for us and our customers. Sedai is focused on making the lives of SREs easier. Our efforts to create the first commercially available autonomous cloud platform combining big data and machine learning functionality to optimize applications in production to drive better customer experience through availability and performance and to eliminate low value SRE toil — are being recognized.

The report also has a wider context focused on a broader industry challenge. Gartner shares that, “Increasing deployments of observability tools have led to an explosion in the cost, scale and complexity of telemetry. Legacy solutions leave businesses drowning in data with limited insight into their containers. I&O leaders should look at these Cool Vendors to understand their modern applications.” We agree. We would add that the legacy solutions are a critical building block as they provide the core intelligence upon which today’s systems are being built. And we would go even further and assert that the complexity of modern applications is pushing the industry to adopt autonomous systems capable of not only understanding the behavior of the tens of thousands of microservices and serverless functions that make up these applications but being capable of safely executing improvements in production without human intervention.
